Dear Brandon,
You've been gone 21 days. We won't see you again for another 12. It feels endless, but we're keeping our chins up.
The day before you left for Alabama, the kids and I decided we were going to celebrate Father's Day early...cuz, obviously, we're separated on your day, and, heck, you still deserved a special breakfast, pampering, etc.
That was possibly the most emotional Father's Day celebration ever. I think I cried off and on all. day. long.
Anyhoo. Today is the real holiday, so I thought it an appropriate opportunity to post pictures of that morning and also to express my love and gratitude to you, the father of our 3 darling children.
Thank you for taking the time to show your love for each of our children individually. They miss you desperately, and all for very different reasons. Jemma misses snuggling with you, Carter misses playing cars with you, and Gavin misses being your yard-work side kick. I suppose they have one thing in common that they miss..."rough housing"...without you here, it doesn't happen.
We cannot wait for you to come back to us and are so thankful that we won't have to do anything like this again (fingers crossed) in the near future. You are a wonderful husband and father. Thank you for all you have done for our family during your time away and for sacrificing on our behalf to ensure a financially secure future. Can't wait to see you again in T-minus 300 hours. :)
All my love,
Jennifer

I love this, Jen. Your pictures made me cry. You guys are almost done!!!
This made me cry! 300 hours doesn't sound as bad to me as 12 days does though. That was sweet to celebrate Father's day 'before.' I hope the time flies for you until Brandon returns home.
