Better Late Than Never!

We hope you all had a good Easter! We enjoyed the majority of ours indoors...I don't think Jemma would have appreciated hunting for eggs in the snow...She did, however, have a blast finding them in the house! I didn't get very many good pictures because our camera started wiggin' out - every photo I would take was all blurry - so, I hope the few that turned out are adequate. I didn't get a picture of it, but Jemma even had a little hat to go with her dress...she loved it! She had so many copliments on her "Easter Bonnet" in church...I think she may have even been better behaved than usual...if she got too rowdy (sp?) it would fall off. Anyway, we were grateful for the family we have in the area and the time we were able to spend with them to commemorate the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. What a blessing it is to have a knowledge of His Redeeming Sacrifice and the ability we too will have to be resurrected and reunited with those we love!

Dying Eggs!

I said I would put some pictures of our egg dying experience on here, so here I am fulfilling my word!

Jemma thought this was the coolest thing we'd ever done. I just had to keep a close watch on her or she was quick to put her hands and everything else close by into the containers of dye.

The dye kit came with some stickers to make faces on the eggs...Jemma was very carefully putting these stickers on when she accidendly dropped one of the eggs. She said over and over again, "Woopsy! It falled!" And everytime she would look at the poor smashed egg, she would rehash how the egg had fallen and was consiquently cracked...thank heaven we boil them before we dye them!

I Love Spring Time! Here in Rexburg, we're still a little worse for wear with all the snow, but none the less, it's feeling more and more like SPRING! Yesterday, I was soooo close to purchasing some pansies to put in my pots...they can handle occasional freezing temperatures right?...but no one is even selling flowers here in Rexburg yet. So, Jemma and I decided we would dye eggs instead. That was super fun. You know how that stuff you stick the eggs in smells like vinegar and sometimes, no matter how long you leave the egg in the dye it just won't change color...at least not drastically...well anyway, it brought back all kinds of childhood memories. I find myself trying to come up with ways to make Jemma's childhood just as imaginitive and exciting as I remember mine being. I'll have to post some pics of our egg dying adventure later. Jemma LOVED it!

Life

I just figured out how to make one of these little slide shows and I just thought I'd put it on here for fun! Enjoy!

Puttin' on the Paint

Yesterday morning, I was in the bathroom getting ready for work when Jemma woke up and wanted to hang out. I don't usually let her play with my makeup...even if it is the cheap stuff...but I was in a bit of a rush and needed to keep her occupied with something...

She put a little on herself, but mostly just made-up the mirror!

When it was all said and done, neither one of us really looked like we ought to be seen in public...me with puffy eyes and Jemma with green eyeliner, and lipstick on her chin...but we sure got a lot of laughts in before the sun had even come up...not sure how Brandon slept through it all. Anyway, I have decided that just like we have good hair days, we have good face days too. Yesterday just wasn't one of them! :o)

Weekend with Pop & Gram

Last thursday, Brandon's grandparents, Frank and Nawatha, or more affectionately termed, "Pop and Gram" came from Sunny California to visit our family in the frozen tundra! We have loved having them and Jemma will certainly miss all the attention when they go home.

Saturday night they took our family and my sister, Julianne and her husband Eric out to Wingers for dinner! Jemma's favorite part was the free popcorn they gave us to snack on while we waited for our dinner...even better than eating it herself, however, was feeding it to her dad!

Thanks so much for coming out to spend time with our family! We loved having you!
