The other day, Carter came in from playing outside and wanted to fill up a watering can at the kitchen sink...out of instinct more than for any good reason, I told him I didn't want him playing in the water and sent him back outside to play. I peered out the window a few minutes later and saw this...
Carter filling up someone elses rainboot with water from a mud puddle,
dumping it, and doin' it again, and again, and again. And having a MaRvElOuS time.
In fact, now that I'm thinking about it, I should have brought him in and had him clean those up and put them back where he found them...WOW! I am TERRIBLE! I hope I was really preoccupied with something else because that is SO TACKY!

Carter is such a funny little guy! Just curious but was he going somewhere or does he just like wearing a back-pack? :) Love you and your family!!
I adore that boy. He basically lives outside! That's our watering can (courtesy of Hattie) and he's welcome to muddy it up whenever he wants!
Jewel - No, Carter wasn't headed anywhere...just outdoors...I think it was filled with cars.
Kristina - I am quite relieved that it was your watering can...I am, however, still sorry that he got it SO filthy and I didn't even have him clean it up...we'll take better care of it next time.
I love those pictures Jenny. You can see how pleased he is at his ingenuity. Soooo cute!
Thattaboy. What a determined fellow. My friend (older and wiser friend) told me to watch their little characteristics carefully because they will flower into -hopefully positive characteristics as they grow. You got yerself a fellow that will find a way. Sounds like a good characteristic to me. Somehow I didn't save your blog when I put it on my blog reel....how sad for me. I love reading about your family. I think you are all such remarkable people who do and say such remarkable things.
Oh Carter man! LOVE this boy! good for him! I have found that all a boy needs for a good time is a bucket(boot) and a hose(puddle). My FAVORITE part is that his shirt is still clean! Well done Carter!
Jen--I'm glad you can view our blog again! Also, from what I've heard, anyone in the airforce who actually requests Albuquerque gets it because apparently nobody requests it. ;) They don't know what they're missing! :)
Ha! That is trennon's rain boot! I thought I had gotten everything picked up before we left-guess not!!
