Becoming HOME

Those of you who play the piano know that without one, your place of residence, be it a house, condo, apartment, whatever, just doesn't feel like a home. Well, our 700 sq. ft. apartment is officially a HOME now!
We got a nice little tax return :) and set aside a good chunk to start saving for a piano...after doing some research, we decided that moving a 500lb. instrument around (especially Brandon's 4th year of Optometry school during rotations) just insn't practical, so we decided to go digital and spent just half of what we had saved! Pretty sweet!
It arrived on Tuesday (my first day back in the dental office since recieving my Dental Hygiene license here in Oregon...p.s. work is SO overrated!) And when I got home, Brandon had it all set up. WE LOVE IT!!! I cannot even tell you how thrilled I am...and Brandon too for that matter, to have a full-on PIANO in our home. It is FABULOUS!!

I am so sorry you went back to work! Sometimes I feel like I should and feel guilty, then I remember that I hate working. I'm glad you guys got a Piano, we have a really dumb keyboard jay could NOT live without after his piano class he and Brandon took. I told him he could buy it only if he actually used it, he said he would use it ALL the time and he's used it twice in 6 months. :) He forgets we don't have a basement or garage to stash stuff in. Are you surviving apartment life? I'm going crazy, and its a big apartment like 1000 sq. ft. and i'm still going bonkers. BUt soon we'll move hopefully! Anyways have fun with your piano, I'll tell Jay to call Brandon for the eight hundredth time since Brandon called last.

How fun for you!!! I don't play the piano but Craig does and now Sari & Ashlie both take lessons. I can not imagine not having a piano in our home now! And how nice you have money left over :)

Oh my goodness, I just love Carter's expressions as he's sitting there on that piano bench! How cute! Congratulations, again, on your piano. It totally does make your house feel like home! I agree!

That is exactly what I want!!! How exciting for you guys! I still remember borrowing your little Keyboard in our ghetto Visalia apartment to use for FHE once or twice :)Looks like you have a music prodigy on your hands--Carter looks like he belongs on the piano! What a cutie :) (p.s. to me Carter looks a lot like YOU!)
